Gene

Gene Hunt is one of Trevi’s intrepid leaders, fearlessly propelling the Trevi team into the rapidly evolving startup worlds of energy storage, renewables and robotics, among other tech industries. Gene has over 35 years of technology marketing communications and media relations experience on both sides of the proverbial corporate/agency fence. He’s worked with startups and Fortune 100 companies, developing strategy and turning way-too-technical information into compelling messaging to help clients educate stakeholders, promote brands, and grow their businesses. Other things that he enjoys sharing his knowledge of include various cooking exploits (@cuisiniereugene), his expansive vocabulary and pun database (the good, the bad and the ugly), and advice for his Trevi colleagues regarding cars, apartment leases, insurance, taxes and scoring the best concert tickets.

Prior to Trevi, Gene worked independently with clients in energy, digital imaging, and other tech areas. From 2003 to 2010, he was co-founder and principal of Matter Communications, and before that held communications management positions for global firms including Agfa, Tyco, and Raytheon. Gene loves to read, write, tweet (climate and canines are favorite topics), and remind us that he can spell the world’s longest word backward. When Gene isn’t indulging the Trevi team with baked goods and cringeworthy puns, he can be found in the kitchen, tending to gardens, driving a fast convertible (safely) and making sure Macy and Maya, his two rescue dogs, are happy and loved.

Lisa

Lisa Murray is co-founder and principal of Trevi. A logophile and news junkie, Lisa enjoys untwisting complex concepts into straightforward, simple messages that sell. With over 25 years of experience, Lisa specializes in creating and promoting sustainable brands for executives, experts, and entrepreneurs.  She develops marketing communications campaigns for an array of professional service firms, with a special focus on the legal industry. Her strategic PR counsel has helped clients to build brand awareness, raise capital,  launch new products and services, enter new markets, avoid/withstand PR crises, and prepare for divestitures and acquisitions. Prior to Trevi, Lisa was the Director of Marketing Communications for international law firm Brown Rudnick LLP, and before that, served as a senior executive at two of the top New England PR firms.

Outside the office, Lisa loves spending quality time with her husband and their fur babies – Lady, the Husky/Shepherd mix, Cookie, the Tabby cat, and Brady, the Morgan horse. If you can’t reach her by phone or text, you can likely find her at the gym (not often) or at the barn (too often).

Meghann

In her role as Head of Marketing Services, Meghann Kinnard oversees the development and implementation of marketing strategies and guides the teams that execute them.

Her extensive experience encompasses a broad spectrum of domains including sales, advertising, digital media, SEO, SEM, social media, branding, and experiential marketing. She imagines ways to leverage traditional business development tactics and the latest digital functionality to craft unique marketing strategies.

Meghann is actively involved in supporting the Central Massachusetts community, serving on the committees and boards of several non-profit and private organizations. She is a Worcester Business Journal 40 Under Forty recipient, a panelist and presenter on marketing and business development topics, and consults for a number of closely-held businesses.

She holds an MBA in Business Administration from Nichols College and a B.A. in Business Administration from Worcester State University.

Gilmarie

Gilmarie Perea-Ruiz is Public Relations Director, with an uncanny ability to craft a compelling story, no matter the subject. Gilmarie has over seven years of experience as a publicist and writer, having contributed to media and communications efforts at well-known publications and PR firms across the eastern seaboard, and even across the pond! At Trevi, she uses her abilities to skillfully tell the stories of law firms, renewable energy, and robotics companies through strategic public relations and social media campaigns.

Gilmarie graduated from Syracuse University in 2015 with a B.A. in Writing & Rhetoric and a minor in Public Communications Studies. A total go-getter, this girl also served as co-founder and VP of Marketing and PR for what is now known as the Writing & Rhetoric Student Organization, whose goal is to build a community for the students and faculty within the Writing Program at SU.

Gilmarie was born and raised in sunny Puerto Rico yet somehow tolerates northeast winters. Despite her lineup of accomplishments, she still knows how to slow down and “enjoy the little things,” i.e. swimming and tanning at the beach, reading crime or mystery novels, and creating delicious, home-cooked meals with her husband, family and friends.

Growing up in a bilingual household, Émilie developed a love for learning languages and is currently studying Korean. If she’s not watching a k-drama, in her free time Émilie is baking, reading, or spending time with her loved ones. She is a lover of animals, with a Siamese-American Shorthair cat named Artemis whose unbridled curiosity keeps her home life interesting.

Her experience as the Managing Editor for her college’s newspaper, years in customer service, and time as an intern at Trevi prepared her for a natural transition to the PR and Marketing world. Samara found her way back to Trevi after graduation, but not before spending some time abroad. For six months, she lived with a local family on the picturesque Isle of Arran, Scotland. She spent her free time exploring the island, hiking, and working her way through the Harry Potter series for the first time.

Samara is a Massachusetts native with a heart for New England and a love for travel.
